Superman II  (1980)

Well, I thought it was much better than the first Superman movie.  Although that’s not the highest of bars.  Admittedly while the films are pretty dated and laughable, I think Gene Hackman and Christopher Reeve are really good actors (in fact I think Christopher Reeve plays it perfectly)

Although this film does cause me to ask so many questions.  How does Superman get his powers back when it’s made very clear it’s impossible?  Why does Metropolis look exactly like New York?  How can a journalist afford a penthouse apartment with a roof garden in the city centre?  Why can Superman erase someone’s memories with a kiss, are the Kryptonians a planet of date rapists?
