The Trouble With Harry (1955)
I once set myself a rule: Never Listen to my Father.
Some time later I amended this rule: Never listen to my Father, unless he’s suggesting a movie at which point it may be worth paying attention.
Which is what led to me watching this. A black comedy directed by Hitchcock is very bizarre to watch. Because even though it’s all progressing in a straightforward humorous-if-slightly-morbid fashion, there’s a definite Hitchcock atmosphere about the whole thing, and you keep expecting someone to be killed suddenly.
Still, it was a good film (duh, it’s Hitchcock) and I got a few laughs out of it.
